“Grease Is The Word”, as the song says, and the almost 50 cast and crew members of the PSHS Spring Musical 2012 “Grease” by Jim Jacobs & Warren Casey came together for last night's Tuesday, May 1 opening night at the high school.
The 1950s was an unknown time for them when we started rehearsing in February, but by now our performers are quite familiar with the tunes, dance moves, clothing, and mannerisms of those times gone by. Vocalists have been working on old-time tunes such as: “Mooning”, “Freddy My Love”, and “We Go Together” as well as more modern tunes made popular through the movie version of “Grease” starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, such as “Hopelessly Devoted to You” and “Sandy”.

Grease plays through Saturday, May 5. The Music & Theater Departments added an extra performance this year in anticipation of large crowds due to the popularity of “Grease”!
Tickets at $10 per person are available starting at 6pm at the high school. It will be a rock & rollin’ night! |
