Every Life is Beautiful

“For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11).

God’s plans for each life created are written before they're born; in fact, before the foundation of the world was created. If we abort a life that God has knit together in the mother’s womb, we have superseded God’s plan for that life. (A little troubling to consider, huh?)

Some lives are dramatically impacted by difficulty, unfairness, even evil. It is not God’s will that the person should never have been born. Rather, He desires the person inquire of Him for His planned purpose for their life. Then to fulfill it in spite of the trouble.

Every life is beautiful. Whether it is an unplanned pregnancy, someone born handicapped, or one abused for many years. God has a plan that includes the power of overcoming the difficulty. Search out the plans God has rather than ending the life He has created.

An unwanted baby’s life with adoptive parents has an opportunity to discover God’s plan. Someone who didn’t follow through with suicide has a chance to start over in pursuit of a hopeful future. A handicapped child can be shown a life of miracles.

It is not for us to override God’s plan for lives He has created. We are the clay and He is the potter.

Every life is beautiful. Find a way to see it through God’s eyes.
